Shooting Targets a Speed Radar on Sahab Road Hours After Its Installation

Khaberni - The director of traffic operations at Amman Municipality, Shadi Al-Rawabdeh, revealed that one of the speed control radars on Sahab Road was shot at by unknown assailants, just hours after it was activated, which damaged the device's main lens.

Al-Rawabdeh explained in radio statements that the radar is equipped with advanced protection systems, but the damage required lens replacement and maintenance. He noted that the cost of repairing some radar equipment ranges between 5,000 and 10,000 dinars.

He pointed out that the radar site witnesses frequent accidents due to high speeds, affirming that its installation was intended to enhance traffic safety and reduce accidents. He expressed regret about such attacks.
