Jordan Launching an Electronic Service to Hear the Voice of Resident Doctors

Khaberni - The Jordanian Medical Council, chaired by the Minister of Health Dr. Ibrahim Al-Badour, launched a new electronic service named "Resident Portal" resident portal, which allows resident doctors to directly communicate with the Medical Council without intermediaries, enabling them to freely and responsibly express their opinions, observations, and ideas.

Dr. Al-Badour stated that this step is part of the council's efforts to enhance the quality of medical training and monitor the conditions of trainee doctors in the accredited programs at various health institutions across the kingdom through an effective communication channel that places the voice of the resident at the heart of the development process.

Dr. Al-Badour emphasized that the launch of the portal reflects the Medical Council's interest in this pivotal group in the health sector, noting that it represents an unprecedented step by setting clear standards for the work and training environment, which ensures monitoring of resident doctors and elevates their qualification levels.

He added that the council is committed to providing an educational environment based on respect and accountability, contributing to the preparation of competent medical personnel capable of meeting the needs of the health system in the kingdom.

According to Minister Al-Badour, the portal provides a supervisory tool that helps monitor the adherence of health institutions to training programs, which limits any violations and enhances a more balanced and fair training environment.

On her part, Dr. Manar Al-Lawama, the Secretary General of the Medical Council, explained that the council approved 4 months ago, on (20/12/2025), standards for accrediting centers and training programs, which include the working hours of resident doctors and their rotation programs and were distributed to all institutions training resident doctors.
These standards aim to unify and regulate accreditation procedures inside and outside of Jordan within a comprehensive national framework that ensures training quality and patient safety, protects trainee rights, and aligns the programs with the priorities of the health sector.

She clarified that the "Resident Portal", which can be accessed by clicking the following link: https://reg-jmc.gov.jo/resident-feedback owned by the Medical Council, allows trainee doctors to raise their issues and observations within topics including the quality of training opportunities, the efficiency of educational programs, workload and conditions, in addition to the educational environment and professional treatment.
