The father's words came days after the mystery Khaberni surrounding the disappearance of his son, before the security investigations revealed the circumstances of the crime.
In the details, the spokesman for the Public Security Directorate said that a report was received by the Tafilah Police Directorate on Thursday, April 16, 2026, from the relatives of a person about his mysterious disappearance, where a special investigation team was formed to follow up on the case and search for him.
He added that the investigations and gathering information led to suspicion that the missing person had been murdered, where suspicion was confined to one of his friends and relatives, who was found to be the last person who saw him.
The spokesman clarified that the suspected person was arrested, who during the investigation confessed to hitting the murdered with a stone on the head following a momentary dispute while they were at a remote tourist lodge, which led to his death, before he proceeded to burn the body to conceal the crime scene, with the help of his brother.
He indicated that with the guidance of the accused, traces of the crime were found, while the public prosecutor of the Grand Criminal Court decided to detain the suspect for 15 days on the charge of premeditated murder, and detain his brother for the same period on the charge of involvement in the murder.
