He said in statements to Reuters today: "The UAE no longer needs America to defend it, as it has proven during the Iranian aggression that it is capable of defending itself effectively. What the UAE needs is only to acquire the best and most advanced weapons from America."
Therefore, it is time to think about closing the American bases, as they have become a burden rather than a strategic asset."
