Business Insider Normal Life Returns to Dubai

Khaberni - Dubai is experiencing a gradual return to the pace of normal life, more than a week after the ceasefire agreement between the United States and Iran, where schools have begun reopening their doors, and employees are gradually returning to in-person meetings, while a number of expatriates who temporarily left are returning to the Emirate.
According to a report published by «Business Insider», this return included individual cases of residents, including Sandy Zanella, a doctor and mindfulness trainer who moved to Dubai over five years ago, and left with her family to Italy after the outbreak of tensions, before deciding to return with her children after feeling reassured about the stability of the situation, stating that Dubai represents the center of her life despite the temporary uncertainty.
These developments reflect the continuing image of Dubai as a safe and preferred destination for expatriates, hosting millions of foreigners who make up about 90% of its population, benefiting from a stable living environment, competitive salaries, and an attractive economic system.
With the continuation of relative calm, educational institutions began resuming their in-person activities, where the Knowledge and Human Development Authority in Dubai announced the return of schooling in schools and universities, along with the resumption of school bus services, reflecting an accelerated pace of return to normal daily life.
In the business sector, many companies have returned to office work after a period of remote work, where Charlie Wright, CEO of a marketing agency, confirmed that clients now prefer face-to-face meetings, while companies continued hiring processes as usual.
Some families, like Chantel Thomson from the United Kingdom, preferred to stay in Dubai despite temporary challenges, indicating that conditions have become more stable and that life is gradually returning to its normal pace, with ongoing completion of residency and settlement procedures.
On the other hand, workers in the pet transportation sector noted a significant decline in departure requests after a previous wave of anxiety, with expectations of a return to normal activity within a short period, while luggage shipping companies began recording an increase in shipments coming into the country after a period of decline.
Experts in the education and consulting sector believe that the general behavior of residents has shifted from emotional decisions to long-term planning, based on ensuring the stability of families and children, whether through staying or putting temporary alternative plans in place until the full picture becomes clear.
Amid this gradual shift, Dubai emerges as an environment quickly regaining its balance, driven by a resilient social and economic structure, and a growing sense of community cohesion, reflecting the beginning of the formation of a «new reality» characterized by caution on one hand, and gradual stability on the other.
