Google Introduces the Notebooks Feature for Free via Gemini

Khaberni - Google announced the availability of the "Notebooks" feature for users of the Gemini application, after it was previously restricted to subscribers of the paid artificial intelligence service.

This feature allows users to store conversations, files, and resources within a single project, thereby facilitating the application's use of the notebook contents when posing new questions, making work easier without needing to start from scratch each time.

This feature appears as a new section named "Notebooks" in the sidebar of the application, situated between the "Gems" and "Conversations" sections, and conversations can be saved using the three-dot menu, with the option to set custom instructions for controlling the tone, form, and style of responses, or to disable memory if there is a desire not to refer back to saved conversations.

The system is distinguished by its integration with NotebookLM, Google's standalone search tool, where content between the two applications is synchronized automatically, allowing for the use of video display and graphic features without any need for manual transfers of resources.

The free version allows the addition of up to 50 sources per notebook, while the paid Ultra package allows up to 600 sources.

Currently, the full suite of Gemini tools is available, including online search and other functions supported by artificial intelligence.

Currently, the Notebooks feature is available on the web only, with availability expected to expand in the coming weeks to mobile applications and Mac.
