Khaberni - The spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate stated that the specialized firefighting teams in the Civil Defense Directorate of East Irbid dealt with a fire that broke out in one of the chemical factories in Al-Hassan Industrial City, Irbid Governorate.
The spokesperson explained that the fire occurred in a tank containing insecticides, which caused a flashover and a blast in the vicinity of the fire, resulting in (14) individuals sustaining various wounds and bruises on the body. The firefighting crews extinguished the fire, which covered an area of (25) m2, fully controlled it, and prevented it from spreading to the rest of the two-story factory with a total area of approximately (3500) m2.
The spokesperson added that the ambulance teams provided the necessary first aid to the injured and transported them to the nearest hospital for necessary treatment. An investigation into the causes of the fire has been initiated.
