Samsung receives new certifications from TÜV Rheinland for its 2026 products including Micro RGB OLED Mini LED screens audio

Khaberni - Samsung Electronics recently announced that about 34 of its screen and audio products for 2026 have obtained two certificates for carbon reduction of the product and the product's carbon footprint from the independent international certification organization TÜV Rheinland, headquartered in Germany. This achievement reflects Samsung’s ongoing efforts to reduce carbon emissions across its various premium product lines.

In his comment on the matter, Samsung Electronics’ Executive Vice President of Display Business, Taeyong Son said: "Starting from its global leadership in the field of premium screens and audio, Samsung gives sustainability a special importance as an integral part of the innovation process and makes diligent efforts to reduce carbon emissions in all its products, providing consumers with the latest technologies and a more responsible user experience."

Samsung received the carbon reduction certificate for 14 premium products from the screens and audio devices, including the 2026 versions of OLED screens and The Frame Pro, and the leading audio device HW-Q990H. It also received the product carbon footprint certificate for an additional 20 products, including Micro RGB and Mini LED screens.

TÜV Rheinland grants the product carbon footprint certificate to products that meet international standards for assessing greenhouse gas emissions throughout the product lifecycle, from manufacturing, transportation, usage, to the end of the product's life.

The carbon reduction certificate is awarded to products that have already received the product carbon footprint certificate and which show a significant reduction in carbon emissions compared to previous versions. Notably, the HW-Q990H device has received both certificates, indicating an enhancement of Samsung's sustainability efforts to include other products besides screens.

In 2021, Samsung's Neo QLED screen became the first screen with 4K resolution or higher to receive the product carbon reduction certificate. Over the past six years, the company has expanded its portfolio of certified products to include QLED screens, OLED screens, Lifestyle products, projectors, and signage systems.

These efforts reflect Samsung's leadership in premium screen and audio categories, as it has topped the global screen market for 20 years and maintained its position as the top global brand in the field of audio devices for 12 years.
