Kuwaiti Minister of Interior We will not allow parties and threats to the security of the country

Khaberni - The First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of Kuwait, Fahad Al-Yousef Saud Al-Sabah, said, "The security agencies will deal firmly with any idea or organization that threatens the security of the country."

Al-Yousef added in statements on Saturday, according to the Kuwaiti newspaper "Al-Qabas", that "manipulation and falsification in the nationality file had an impact on political life and political discourse in Kuwait".

He also pointed out that "Kuwait, at one stage, lacked the language of dialogue and mutual respect in political discourse, and has moved into a political phase based on political blackmail and the exchange of personal and factional interests."

He explained that Kuwait "is a country that has been built on a solid national unity since its inception, with no place for sectarianism or factionalism or any divisions, and we do not have parties as stipulated by the Kuwaiti constitution, emphasizing that what unites Kuwaitis is the principle of equal citizenship."

He confirmed that "the law will be applied to everyone with a single ruler," adding: "We are in a country whose constitution stipulates the absence of parties, so how can membership in foreign organizations that carry agendas threatening the security and stability of the homeland be accepted?"

He explained that "the experiences surrounding Kuwait have proven that partisanship does not bring good but leads to division and unrest, which will not be allowed in Kuwait."

Fahad Al-Yousef stressed that "the new nationality law is a necessity to preserve the national identity and protect it", committing to "apply the nationality law firmly and transparently to preserve the demographic structure, and ensure rights within legal frameworks."

He continued, saying: "What the country witnessed in controlling terrorist cells has tarnished Kuwait's image, and revealed the involvement of a number of citizens in ideological and organizational affiliations linked to foreign parties and groups."

Al-Yousef also stressed that "anyone who transgresses these constants will face stringent and deterrent legal measures without exception or leniency, and the authorities will not allow anyone to tamper with the national unity of the country or affect its social fabric in all its components."

He also said: "Believing that preserving national unity is a responsibility that does not accept compromise, and that maintaining the stability of the homeland is a duty that takes precedence over all considerations," praising "the honorable performance of the armed forces personnel from the army, interior, national guard, and fire service during the confrontation with the Iranian attacks."

Kuwait is currently undergoing a wide-ranging campaign to rectify the nationality file where it has been withdrawn from tens of thousands and those who obtained it by affiliation, and the country has recently seen an intensification of campaigns against cells linked to a foreign agenda in conjunction with the Iranian aggression.
