AlJasser More than 12000 flights and two million seats to serve pilgrims

Khaberni - The Saudi Minister of Transport and Logistic Services, Saleh Al-Jasser, stated that Saudi Arabia welcomed more than 12,000 flights and about two million seats on the Haramain High-Speed Railway.

According to the local "Al-Eqtisadiah" newspaper on Saturday, Al-Jasser highlighted that since the end of the last Hajj season, plans for this year's Hajj have begun, underscoring the profound attention the Kingdom pays to providing a comfortable and safe Hajj experience for pilgrims.

Furthermore, Al-Jasser mentioned that this year's pilgrims would be received through six international airports, including Riyadh and Dammam airports, in addition to the Jeddah Islamic Port.

The airports for the arrival of the pilgrims, in addition to Riyadh and Dammam, include King Abdulaziz Airport in Jeddah, Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz Airport in Medina, Prince Abdul Muhssin bin Abdulaziz Airport in Yanbu, and Taif Airport.

On Saturday, the first groups of pilgrims for this year's Hajj season arrived, among them 400 pilgrims from Bangladesh, who were welcomed by Al-Jasser at King Abdulaziz Airport in Jeddah.

Al-Jasser stated, "These pilgrims are beneficiaries of the Makkah Route initiative, which allows pilgrims to complete all their entry procedures into Saudi Arabia from their country's airports."

The procedures include issuing visas, verifying health requirements, tagging and sorting luggage, ensuring their direct transfer to their accommodations immediately upon arrival without waiting.

Last season, according to official data, Saudi Arabia welcomed 1.67 million pilgrims, of which 1.5 million came from outside the Kingdom through various ports, with 1.43 million arriving through air ports, 66,000 through land ports, and 5,094 through sea ports.
