Khaberni - Housing Bank announced the signing of a renewal of its strategic partnership agreement with Jordan River Foundation, to continue supporting the foundation's projects for child protection and women empowerment.
Under the agreement, the bank will continue to support the Jordan River Foundation’s Child and Family Protection Program, initiated by Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah in 1997, a pioneer in Jordan and the Arab world for its holistic and primary local reference in enhancing child and family protection from all forms of abuse, focusing on awareness, prevention, and intervention. The support is expected to expand access to approximately 6 thousand children and women, through implementing educational programs and events for abuse prevention and capacity building in child safety and promoting positive parenting practices..
The agreement also includes support for two of the Jordan River Foundation’s social projects aimed at women, one is the Jordan River Designs project that provides handmade products by women from the wilderness and countryside, and the Al Karma Kitchen project offering a variety of homemade foods by local community women. In this context, Housing Bank will contribute to empowering more than 35 women in the projects through developing their capabilities as independent breadwinners via specialized technical and entrepreneurial trainings, indirectly benefiting over 160 family members.
This partnership, which continues the cooperative journey between both parties, aligns with Housing Bank’s social responsibility program " Al Imdad Housing" within the social empowerment sector focusing on enhancing the role of civil society organizations by continuously supporting them to offer various kinds of assistance to community members, according to needs and to address challenges..
