Khaberni - Sherine Abdel Wahab has returned to top the "trend" in Egypt with a new song in collaboration with composer Aziz El Shafei, after two years of crises.
El Shafei posted a video on his "Facebook" account from inside the studio, last Saturday, during the recording of Sherine's new song "I want to complain."
He also commented: "Surely you missed me as I missed you," which sparked widespread interaction across social media with thousands of comments reflecting the audience's enthusiasm to hear the song and see their beloved "star."
A difficult journey
Meanwhile, a source close to Sherine revealed in exclusive statements to Alarabiya.net/AlHadath.net the details of the difficult comeback journey after an absence of over two years, confirming that she had suffered from health crises and complex personal issues, but she has recovered and regained her artistic vitality.
The source also clarified that Sherine had been in touch with music industry professionals, with El Shafei among them, who offered her a new melody. Upon hearing the guideline version via "WhatsApp," she immediately liked it and decided to record the song.
The song was recorded at the music distributor Toma's studio in New Heliopolis, with El Shafei present. Although recording has finished, the song is still in the final stages of musical processing, to be ready for official release soon on Sherine's official "YouTube" channel.
It is worth mentioning that Sherine’s appearance last March, coinciding with Eid al-Fitr, was a precursor to this comeback, as she appeared after a full year of complete absence due to her successive crises. At the time, she posted a video on "TikTok" with her daughter Hana, performing the song "The Most Beautiful Feeling," which caused a wide controversy at the time due to the noticeable change in her features and her weight gain.
But it also reflected her desire to connect with her audience, who never ceased to support her.
