Israeli Investigation into a Network Including Soldiers Suspected of Spying for Iran

Khaberni  - The Israeli Channel 7 reported that the Israeli Security Agency (Shin Bet) and the Israeli Police are conducting an investigation into a network suspected of including soldiers working for Iranian entities.

The Shin Bet suspects that soldiers have leaked information about locations of sensitive systems, bases, and weapons, and gathered information about high-ranking governmental officials.

The Israeli channel mentioned that the Shin Bet detained two active-duty air force soldiers for about a month on suspicion of communicating with hostile entities and leaking sensitive security information during the war.

According to Israeli media, this case is not isolated, as other soldiers, including some from sensitive units such as the air defense unit, were arrested at the beginning of the investigation.

An Israeli website, citing a joint statement previously issued this week by the Shin Bet and the Police, reported the arrest of an Israeli citizen suspected of committing security-related crimes by contacting agents from a hostile state and carrying out tasks under their direction in exchange for money.

The prosecutors say she exploited her access to the Ministry of Transportation's databases through her work with a company providing services to the ministry.
