Opening of the Martyr Pilot Muath AlKasasbeh Monument Soon

Khaberni - Aruba Al-Shamayleh, the Assistant Secretary-General for the Ministry of Culture/ Karak Culture Directorate, said that the preparations for the memorial monument to Martyr Pilot Moaz Al-Kasasbeh in the Liwa Ay are nearing completion, in preparation for its official inauguration.

According to a statement from the ministry on Saturday, Al-Shamayleh pointed out that the project is implemented according to the highest artistic and engineering standards, reflecting the high national stature of the martyr, and immortalizing his heroism and sacrifices in the consciousness of Jordanians, confirming that this edifice forms an everlasting symbol of the values of loyalty and sacrifice embodied by the martyr.

She said that the monument, adopted by the Ministry of Culture, features a meticulous artistic design in the form of a model of a military fighter jet (F-16), executed using basalt stone by sculptor Mohammed Saud Al-Azmat, with attention to details and dimensions that mimic the original dimensions of the aircraft.

The work, according to Al-Shamayleh, includes a stone base in the form of a tower three meters high, surrounded by a circular plaza paved with basalt stones, along with panels and engravings that document the name of the martyr and his national status.

She pointed out in the statement that the Ministry of Culture pays special attention to this project, considering it a national landmark and a testament to the sacrifices of the nation’s heroes, and a beacon that evokes the meanings of martyrdom and belonging in the souls of generations.

It is expected that the monument, once inaugurated at the entrance of Liwa Ay, the birthplace of the martyr, will be a prominent national landmark enhancing the national memory and attracting visitors, in commemoration of the heroic journey of the martyr Moaz Al-Kasasbeh.
