Jordan and 10 countries condemn the appointment of an Israeli ambassador in Somaliland

Khaberni  -  The foreign ministers of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Arab Republic of Egypt, Federal Republic of Somalia, Republic of Sudan, State of Libya, People's Republic of Bangladesh, Democratic People's Republic of Algeria, State of Palestine, Republic of Turkey, and Republic of Indonesia vehemently condemn Israel's announcement of appointing a diplomatic envoy to what is called "Somaliland"; considering it a blatant violation of the sovereignty of the Federal Republic of Somalia and the integrity and peace of its territory.

The ministers also express their complete rejection of all unilateral actions that affect the unity of states or undermine their sovereignty, emphasizing their steadfast support for the unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of Somalia, and their support for the legitimate state institutions of Somalia as the only entity that represents the will of the Somali people.

The ministers also affirm that such actions are a clear violation of the principles of international law, the United Nations Charter, and the founding charter of the African Union, representing a dangerous precedent that could undermine stability in the Horn of Africa region, negatively affecting overall regional peace and security.
