Jordan - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemns the attack that targeted the French battalion affiliated with the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) in southern Lebanon, resulting in the killing of a French soldier and injuring several soldiers.
The official spokesperson for the ministry, Ambassador Fouad Al-Majali, expressed the Kingdom's full sympathy and solidarity with the government and people of the friendly French Republic in this painful affliction, expressing his sincerest condolences and sympathy to the family of the soldier, and wishing a speedy recovery for the injured.
Al-Majali emphasized the importance of ensuring the security of the UN forces and maintaining the safety of their personnel, and the Kingdom's rejection of any targeting of the (UNIFIL) forces, which play an important role in maintaining the security and stability of Lebanon in accordance with the relevant United Nations resolutions.
