Khaberni - In its first decision after the return of the kidnapped infant, Al Hussein University Hospital management in Egypt decided to organize the entry of veiled women, and examine them in a designated room to prevent a similar incident of kidnapping an infant from the hospital.
The management of Al Hussein Hospital stated in its first statement after the infant's return: In a moving human scene mixed with feelings of anxiety and prayer, then transformed into an overwhelming joy that spread across the Egyptian street, the Egyptian state's efforts succeeded in returning a newborn girl to her family's arms, after an incident that stirred public opinion, dominated social media, and became the talk of the hour.
Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, also demanded the necessity of having female security staff on the women and maternity wards, following the kidnapping incident of an infant by a veiled woman at Al Hussein University Hospital.
During the investigations, the mother gave touching statements, asserting that she never imagined that a spontaneous moment could turn into a tragedy, explaining that she was going through a difficult situation due to her daughter’s crying, before a woman intervened and offered her help.
The mother clarified that she handed her daughter to the accused woman in good faith, after the latter expressed a desire to calm the little girl, confirming that she did not suspect her intentions for a moment, and believed she was receiving ordinary humanitarian aid.
She added that the accused took advantage of her distraction in a fleeting moment, and fled with the child, noting that the incident occurred suddenly and shockingly, without her being able to react or catch up with her.
The mother acknowledged before the investigative authorities that this spontaneous act was the cause of the incident, confirming that she had not expected treachery from the woman, while the prosecution continues its investigations to uncover all the circumstances of the incident and take the necessary legal actions.
