Khaberni - The selling price of a gram of 21 karat gold, the most desired by citizens in the local market, today, Saturday, reached 98.40 Jordanian Dinars for selling purposes from goldsmith shops, against 94.20 Jordanian Dinars for the buying side.
The selling price of a single gram of gold in 24, 18, and 14 karats for buying purposes from goldsmith shops was at 112.60, 87.10, and 68.10 Jordanian Dinars respectively.
Rabhi Allan, the head of the General Union of Jewelers and Jewelry Traders, told the Jordanian News Agency (Petra), that the price of the Rashadi lira weighing 7 grams reached 682 Dinars, and the English lira weighing 8 grams was 780 Dinars.
He added that the supply and demand for gold were weak in the local market last week.
Allan indicated that the yellow metal closed its weekly trades in the global market yesterday, Friday, at 4830 dollars per ounce, emphasizing that the relative stability is the prominent feature of gold prices during the past period.
