Khaberni - Google announced on Friday that the AI agent within "AI Mode" in Google search now allows the user to check the availability of what they need in nearby stores, and it is now possible to track hotel prices directly through Google search.
With the latest update to "AI Mode," Google can now communicate with local stores on behalf of the user to find out which store sells the product they searched for.
Google launched this feature directly in the search in November last year, and will now roll it out in "AI Mode" over the coming weeks in the United States, according to a report by TechCrunch, a technology news website, viewed by "Al Arabiya Business".
Users can describe what they need, for example: "I forgot to bring my prescription sunglasses, so I'm trying to find an over-glasses sunshade. Where can I get this nearby?" Google will then contact the stores and send the details to the user.
While users could already track hotel prices at the city level, the new update now allows tracking the price of a specific hotel.
On computers, this can be done by searching for the hotel name and then activating the new price tracking option. On mobile phones, the user will find the option under the "Prices" tab after conducting the search. Once this option is activated, the user will receive an email alert if the price changes during the selected dates.
