Khaberni - The Egyptian security forces in Qalyubia Governorate are intensifying their efforts to uncover the circumstances of a tragic incident that took place in the city of Banha, after finding the bodies of a man and his wife in two different locations.
The details of the incident began after a woman named "Wajdiya" (65 years old) took her own life by throwing herself into the waters of the Nile River, resulting in her immediate death, and the security forces were notified who moved to retrieve the body.
The surprise occurred when the security forces tried to notify her husband of the incident, they found him dead inside his apartment in the city of Banha.
Initial investigations revealed that the couple lived in the same area, and security forces imposed a security cordon around the two incidents, and began gathering information and hearing witnesses' statements.
The security forces in Qalyubia continue their efforts to discover whether there is a connection between the wife's suicide and the husband's murder, as part of the ongoing investigations to uncover the circumstances of the incidents.
