Dust wave on its way to Jordan

Khaberni - Osama Al-Tarifi, the director of aviation operations at Arab Weather, said that a wave of dust and dirt is on its way to Jordan in the coming hours.

Furthermore, various areas of the kingdom will experience thunderstorm rain showers.

The Kingdom starts to be affected by unstable weather conditions

In turn, Arab Weather stated in its latest update that the kingdom has started to be influenced by unstable weather conditions, with an expectation of increasing thunder clouds and rainfall in several areas of the kingdom, where the rainfall intensity may vary and sometimes might be heavy in some geographic areas.

It is not ruled out that the precipitation may be accompanied by local hail showers in some geographical zones.

The site has advised to stay away from riverbeds and flood paths, as the kingdom continues to be influenced by these unstable weather conditions during the upcoming hours and until the morning of Saturday, God willing.

Thunder clouds may occasionally be associated with sudden and descending winds that could cause dust raising and sandstorms in desert areas.

A massive dust wave on its way to the Levant

The site also noted that the latest satellite images and dust tracking maps indicate a dense dust wave positioned over vast parts of Egyptian territories, with expectations of its gradual movement towards the Levant and Jordan in the coming hours, with its effects continuing through Saturday.

This wave is expected to lead to a significant increase in dust and suspended particulates in the air, turning the atmosphere noticeably dusty in several regions, with a reduction in horizontal visibility especially in exposed areas and outside roads.

Patients with respiratory and eye conditions are advised to take necessary precautions, close windows, avoid going outside except for extreme necessities, and to wear masks if they need to be outdoors.
