Khaberni - The Japanese team Vissel Kobe qualified for the semi-finals of the elite AFC Champions League with an exciting victory over Al Sadd of Qatar with a score of 5-4 on penalties after a thrilling 3-3 draw on Thursday in the first quarter-final match.
Spanish player Rafa Mujica shone for Al Sadd, scoring two goals and assisting a goal for his Brazilian teammate Roberto Firmino, with the goals coming in the 6th, 61st, and 65th minutes, while the Japanese team scored their three goals through Yuya Osako in the 24th minute, Yosuke Ideguchi in the 74th minute, and Yoshinori Muto in the third minute of stoppage time for the second half.
The draw continued into the extra halves, leading both teams to penalty kicks which qualified the Japanese team, and Vissel Kobe will wait for the winner of the match between Al Ahli of Saudi Arabia, the title-holders, and Johor Darul Ta'zim of Malaysia which will be held on Friday.
