Khaberni - The President of the University of Science and Technology of Jordan, Professor Dr. Khaled Al-Salem, confirmed that the National Science Day is a unifying national milestone that embodies the cohesion of Jordanians and their rallying around the national flag, reflecting the depth of belonging, and the meanings of dignity and pride in the entrenched national identity.
This took place during his sponsorship of the national ceremony organized by the Dean of Student Affairs at the university, in cooperation with the Jordanian Armed Forces, on the occasion of the Jordanian Flag Day, the establishment of the Jordanian state, and the anniversary of the Battle of Karama, attended by the Director of Military Media in the Jordanian Armed Forces, Brigadier General Mustafa Al-Hiyari, vice presidents, deans of colleges, several faculty and administrative members, and a large group of students.
Al-Salem emphasized that celebrating national occasions vividly embodies the unity of Jordanians, invoking their honorable history filled with sacrifices and achievements, pointing out that the Jordanian flag represents a symbol of sovereignty and belonging, and a cradle for a deep-seated national memory. He also praised the heroic role of the Jordanian Armed Forces, describing them as the sturdy shield of the homeland, vigilant over its security, stability, and serving as a model of sacrifice and loyalty.
He pointed out that the anniversary of the Battle of Karama embodies the sturdiness of Jordanian willpower and its ability to achieve greatness, confirming that the university is continuing its role in the national building process, by preparing qualified, aware cadres who will lead the future competently, and instilling values of belonging, work, and creativity in the students, thus enhancing Jordan's stature and advancing its progress and prosperity.
Al-Hiyari said in his speech that the Jordanian flag is not just a symbol, but it also represents the title for national sovereignty and a vivid embodiment of the state's identity, history, and entrenched values, noting that it unites Jordanians despite their diverse origins under one flag that expresses unity and the solidity of the internal front.
Al-Hiyari added that Flag Day represents a national milestone that invokes the journey of the Jordanian state and its history rich with achievements and sacrifices, explaining that the Jordanian flag, with its connotations, reflects the depth of Arabic and Islamic extension and reinforces the meanings of belonging and national pride, and at the same time serves as a perpetual motivation for the armed forces to continue giving and sacrificing, and a title for steadfastness in defending the homeland, emphasizing that protecting it and maintaining its security and stability is a sacred duty.
The event included a photo exhibition that depicted the journey of the Hashemites and the history of the Jordanian Arab Army, alongside a video presentation highlighting the most significant milestones of giving and achievement in the journey of the Jordanian state and its development in various fields.
The ceremony was notably attended and interacted with by the students in a patriotic atmosphere that embodied the spirit of pride in the homeland and its leadership, and bolstered the values of belonging and loyalty in the hearts of the participants.
