Israeli Writer Identifies Israels New Enemies After Iran

Khaberni  - The writer, and professor at the Faculty of Data Science and Decision Making at the Technion Israeli Institute, Boaz Golani, said the new enemy of the Israeli occupation state is one of two countries, Turkey or Pakistan.

In an article in the Hebrew newspaper Maariv, Golani said, "From the War of Independence until the peace treaty with it, the enemy was Egypt, the largest Arab country sharing borders with Israel."

He continued, "Then Iraq took over the prestigious role and reached its peak with the missile attack on Israel in 1991. However, the destruction of the nuclear reactor in 1981, and the war that lasted eight years with Iran, and the defeat in the first Gulf War in 1991 led to the erosion of Iraq's power and allowed Iran to assume this role."

He noted that after the recent war on Iran, it is certain that Tehran will be forced to abandon its role as Israel's archenemy.

Golani asked, "Who will be next? It seems that the competition has been settled between Turkey and Pakistan. Two large countries, both predominantly Sunni, both with authoritarian regimes depending on military power, both possessing huge armies, and strangely both enjoy good relations with the United States, Israel's main ally."

He continued, "Since coming to power about 25 years ago, especially after the launch of the Mavi Marmara flotilla in 2010, Turkish President Erdogan has escalated his rhetoric towards Israel. Diplomatic relations deteriorated, and in 2018 ambassadors were recalled. With the outbreak of the Iron Swords War, Erdogan announced a comprehensive economic embargo, then later threatened to use military force, even potentially invading Israel."

And he added, "The Pakistani Defense Minister last week clearly and firmly stated Pakistan's stance on Israel, describing it as a curse on humanity, and wishing 'those who established this cancerous state on Palestinian land, and those disposing of the Jews of Europe, to burn in hell'."

And he ended his article saying that "Israel" must prepare for a scenario where it faces one of these two countries immediately after the fighting against Iran ends. "The choice between them is not in our hands, and both options are almost equally bad. The most important thing we have in dealing with them is our relationship with the United States, which we must protect with all our might."
