Dubai Closure of Burj Al Arab Hotel for a Year and a Half

Khaberni - Jumeirah Group, the owner of the "Burj Al Arab" hotel in Dubai, announced its closure for a year and a half for restoration, and conducting the first comprehensive maintenance since its opening in 1999.

The owners wrote on the "X" platform: "The 'Burj Al Arab' hotel in Dubai will close its doors for restoration. The work is expected to take about 18 months, during which the hotel will not accommodate any guests."

They clarified that they intend to enhance the unique interior designs of the hotel, which has become an "identification card" for Dubai, while maintaining the "standards of luxury hospitality" unchanged.

According to the Jumeirah Group, the renowned French interior designer Tristan Auer will be the project director for the restoration. Auer is known worldwide for his restoration of famous cultural landmarks, including the "Crillon" hotel in Paris.

The hotel, described as seven-star, currently contains about 200 luxurious suites, and is known for its elegant interior designs adorned with marble, gold leaf, and Swarovski crystals.
