Khaberni - The Egyptian security services are intensifying their efforts to uncover the circumstances of the kidnapping of an infant from Al-Hussein University Hospital and returning her to her family.
A security source confirmed that an extensive search team continues to work around the clock by analyzing surveillance camera footage and tracing the route of the suspect in order to apprehend her and recover the infant.
The initial investigations into the incident of kidnapping an infant from Al-Hussein University Hospital revealed that the mother of the infant received her daughter from one of the nurses but later left her with a woman she did not know to hold her instead before going to sleep, which the accused took advantage of to commit the act.
A source said that after the child was handed to her, the mother asked a veiled woman with her in the same room to hold him because she was tired and wanted to sleep, and so as not to harm him while she might move during sleep.
The source added: This matter was done in the presence of the child's grandmother, who also left him with that woman because she went to buy things for her daughter, adding, and these previous statements are the words of the child's mother.
The relevant agencies are intensifying their efforts to apprehend the accused and uncover all the details of the incident amid assurances of nearing the discovery of leads that will lead to the return of the child and taking the necessary legal actions.
