Khaberni - The Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, received a call from U.S. President Donald Trump discussing the reduction of escalation and ensuring the stability of energy markets.
The Royal Court in the State of Qatar said in a statement that the Emir of Qatar confirmed to President Trump Qatar’s role as a reliable partner in supporting the stability of global energy markets, and its continuous commitment to fulfill its obligations towards its international partners.
The statement added that the Emir of Qatar emphasized to the U.S. President the importance of intensifying international efforts to spare the region further escalation, affirming the importance of adopting diplomatic means as a primary way to address crises.
For his part, Trump expressed his country's appreciation for Qatar's role in regional mediation and confirmed his country's keenness to coordinate with the State of Qatar regarding energy security and market stability.
