The Youngest Star Lamin Yamal Makes History in Barcelonas Match Against Atlético

Khaberni - Lamin Yamal, Barcelona's young star, set a new date with history, in the Champions League match against Atlético Madrid.

Barcelona bid farewell to the Champions League this season (2025-2026), despite beating Atlético Madrid 2-1 in the return match last Tuesday, having lost 0-2 in the first leg.

As soon as he participated in the match, Yamal reached his 150th game in a Barcelona shirt, becoming the youngest player in the club's history to achieve this number, at only 18 years and 275 days old, according to data from the global statistics site "Transfermarkt".

This record places the Spanish star at the top of a historic list that includes Barça legends, as he has broken the record of Bojan Krkić, who reached 150 matches at the age of 20 years and 141 days.

Gavi occupies the third place in this list at the age of 20 years and 279 days, while legend Lionel Messi is fourth at the age of 21 years and 284 days, clearly lagging behind.

It is worth mentioning that the list of the youngest players to reach 150 matches with Barcelona also includes names like Pedri, Xavi Hernández, and Andrés Iniesta.

Lamin Yamal was promoted to Barcelona's first team in 2023 at the age of 15, after progressing through the youth ranks at the Catalan club’s academy.

After his remarkable performances, Yamal quickly secured a place in Barcelona’s starting lineup and with the Spanish national team, which he helped to win the Euro 2024 title.

This season, Lamin participated in 44 matches with Barcelona, scoring 23 goals and providing 18 assists.
