Khaberni - An informed Iranian source said that Tehran might consider allowing ships to freely navigate through the Omani side of the Strait of Hormuz without the risk of attack, as part of the proposals made in the negotiations with the United States if an agreement is reached that prevents the resumption of war after the truce.
The war caused the greatest disruption ever to global oil and gas supplies; due to Iran blocking traffic through the strait, which accounts for about 20% of the global flows of oil and liquefied natural gas.
Hundreds of tankers and other ships, and 20,000 sailors have been stranded inside the Gulf since the outbreak of the Iran war on February 28.
