Partnership between Tkiyat Um Ali and Oxfam to Enhance Food Security

Khaberni– Tkiyat Um Ali and Oxfam signed a partnership agreement to support ongoing efforts in food security, through providing 4,000 ready to distribute food parcels, given as in-kind donations.
This partnership reflects a shared commitment to responding to urgent needs through practical interventions on the ground, contributing to alleviating the increasing living pressures faced by Jordanian and Palestinian families, and enhancing their capacity to meet their basic needs with dignity.
The distribution processes will be conducted according to a specified plan spanning throughout the month of April, including several provinces across the kingdom, ensuring that the food parcels reach the deserving families within a clear timeline, through the network of Tkiyat Um Ali’s local associations, focusing on reaching the most needy groups.
The General Manager of Tkiyat Um Ali, Mr. Samer Balqar, said:
“This partnership reflects the importance of integrating efforts with our partners in humanitarian work, where through this cooperation, we aim to enhance our ability to reach the most needy families in an organized and effective manner, emphasizing Tkiyat Um Ali's commitment to implementing interventions based on accurate needs assessment, to ensure achieving tangible and sustainable impact at the community level."
As part of this partnership, the Oxfam team participates in the distribution processes, reinforcing the approach of joint action that transcends support provision to include presence and active contribution on the ground, and contributes to building trust and strengthening ties with the benefiting communities.
This initiative embodies a model of cooperation that combines operational efficiency and field presence, contributing to delivering support to deserving families efficiently, while maintaining focus on the real impact at the community level, especially in supporting the resilience of Jordanian and Palestinian families facing increasing economic and humanitarian challenges.
Dimitri Medvedev, the Country Director for Oxfam in Jordan, said:

These efforts contribute to enhancing food security in the short term, and support, in the longer term, family stability and their ability to overcome recurring crises, through providing reliable and regular support that reduces food insecurity and enhances community resilience.
Tkiyat Um Ali continues to implement its sustainable food support programs, reaching thousands of families monthly through well-thought interventions and programs based on needs assessment, contributing to enhancing food security and supporting community stability.
