Tumor Removal Weighing 22 kg at Prince Rashid Bin Al Hassan Military Hospital

Khaberni - A specialized medical team in the general surgery department, led by Colonel Dr. Ahmad Mohammad Obaidat, performed a surgical operation to remove a cancerous tumor (sarcoma) from the abdominal cavity of a patient who is 55 years old, where the tumor weighed 22 kg, at Prince Rashid Bin Al Hassan Military Hospital in Irbid province.  
The head of the surgery department, Colonel Dr. Ahmad Obaidat, explained that the patient was suffering from kidney function disorders, high blood pressure, difficulty in breathing and movement, as well as sleep disorders, pointing out that this rare type of tumor represents a significant challenge due to its large size and its attachment to major vital organs in the body, confirming that the tumor has been removed and that the patient left the hospital in good health and is in the process of recovery.
The hospital director, Brigadier General Dr. Abdulhamid Al-Adwan, confirmed that conducting such major operations in a peripheral hospital reflects the high level of readiness and the development reached by the medical services, which contributes to improving patient care and alleviating their suffering.
