Khaberni - The Eastern Military Zone conducted a special operation at dawn on Wednesday at its border front, thwarting 6 smuggling attempts of large quantities loaded by electronically directed balloons launched simultaneously with each other, in an effort to disperse the efforts of the border guard units and try to evade surveillance.
The border guard units, in coordination with the military security agencies and the Drug Enforcement Administration, succeeded in thwarting all attempts at various locations, dealing with them by bringing them down and their loads inside the Jordanian territory, and transferring the seized items to the competent authorities for necessary actions.
The Jordanian Armed Forces affirm that they are committed to deploying their capabilities and resources to prevent various smuggling and infiltration operations, and to confront anyone who dares to compromise the security of the nation and the safety of its citizens.
