Khaberni - The Egyptian authorities announced on Tuesday the death of 7 people in a massive fire that broke out inside a garment factory in Cairo.
The security services of the Cairo Security Directorate said in a press statement today that they had received a report of a fire in a garment factory in the El-Zawia El-Hamra area.
According to the statement, civil protection forces deployed several firefighting vehicles to the scene to control the flames and prevent them from spreading to adjacent buildings, while a security cordon was imposed around the incident site to secure the area.
The statement indicated that necessary actions were taken, the victims were transported, while the relevant authorities continue to examine the circumstances of the fire to determine its causes and assess the damages, with ongoing inspection and rescue operations at the site of the incident.
