Khaberni - Norwegian police announced today, Tuesday, that a 14-year-old boy stole a public transport bus and drove it nearly 200 kilometers until he reached Sweden.
The police explained that the transport company reported the bus stolen early today, after its disappearance was discovered, and its location was determined inside Swedish territory using satellite positioning technology.
According to Swedish police, the boy was arrested near the city of Gothenburg in the southwest of the country, while youth care teams from Norway went to receive him, although his motives are still unclear.
Investigation officer Ron Isaaksen told the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation that the boy embarked on the journey alone after stealing the bus from the Vestby area, about 40 kilometers south of Oslo.
Europe witnesses similar incidents from time to time, with a recent occurrence in Germany where another boy stole a bus and drove a long distance to drop his girlfriend off at her school.
