Khaberni - The Jordanian-Saudi Brotherhood Committee, chaired by Senator Jamal Al-Sarayrah, discussed today, Wednesday, in its meeting with the Saudi Ambassador to the Kingdom, His Highness Prince Mansour bin Khaled Al Saud, ways to enhance the bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries, especially in the political, economic, and investment fields.
Senator Al-Sarayrah confirmed during the meeting the strength of the Jordanian-Saudi relations, which are based on historical ties and are under the care and attention of both countries' leadership, noting that the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah II and his brother the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and His Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, form a solid foundation for developing these relations and elevating them towards broader horizons, serving the common interests and enhancing joint Arab action.
He added that the relations between the two countries stem from a shared vision of their leaderships and reflect the aspirations of their peoples towards more cooperation and integration, emphasizing the importance of developing and enhancing the parliamentary role in strengthening the cooperation ties and exchanging expertise, which contributes to serving the common interests and enhancing coordination on issues of mutual interest.
Senator Al-Sarayrah emphasized that the ongoing cooperation in various fields, especially economic and investment, reflects the keenness of both countries to achieve sustainable development, stressing the importance of capitalizing on available opportunities and enhancing partnerships to serve the progress and prosperity journey.
He affirmed Jordan's steadfast position, under the leadership of His Majesty the King, in supporting regional stability and enhancing security and peace through dialogue and diplomatic solutions, contributing to reducing tensions and achieving stability in the region, and enhancing the chances of reaching fair and sustainable political settlements.
Senator Al-Sarayrah referred to the Hashemite custodianship over the Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem, considering it a solid responsibility of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan within its historical role, while at the same time affirming the right of the Palestinian people to establish their independent sovereign state on their national territory, in accordance with international legitimacy resolutions and the principle of the two-state solution.
He emphasized the importance of reciprocal visits between the two countries at various political, parliamentary, and economic levels, considering them a cornerstone for enhancing bilateral cooperation, exchanging expertise, and developing joint coordination mechanisms, reflecting the solidity of the brotherly relations.
He noted that the latest of these visits was by the Jordanian-Saudi Brotherhood Committee to the Saudi Shura Council, which contributed to enhancing parliamentary communication and exchanging views on ways to develop cooperation serving the interests of both countries and the two brotherly peoples.
On his part, the Saudi Ambassador expressed his pride in the depth of the brotherly relations established by the leadership of both countries, affirming Saudi Arabia's keenness to strengthen its relations with Jordan in various fields, especially economic and investment, reflecting the interests of both brotherly peoples and supporting the journey of development and progress.
The ambassador highlighted the importance of enhancing cooperation with the Senate and activating parliamentary partnerships, and exchanging expertise, which contributes to developing bilateral relations, affirming that this partnership reflects the level of coordination and understanding between the two countries.
