Strategy aimed at establishing and organizing a national interactive statistical data center

Khaberni - On Tuesday, the Cabinet decided to approve the national strategy for developing the Jordanian statistical system for the years 2026 – 2030, and assigned the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation to complete the procedures for launching and generalizing it to all related entities for implementation according to regulations.

The strategy aims to update the statistical system and enhance the role of the national interactive data center within the General Statistics Department.

The national statistical strategy is considered a shared ambitious vision and a clear roadmap for managing the statistical system and unifying and integrating efforts among statistical data producers in Jordan.

The strategy, which was agreed upon by all statistical partners in the kingdom, emerged from the vision of administrative and economic modernization in the kingdom and it defines the roles and responsibilities within the national statistical system.

The strategy is considered a key tool for monitoring and evaluating the performance level in statistical work, focusing on the expansion of technology use in data management, increasing efficiency and accuracy of work, and ensuring data security and confidentiality of individual data.

It also aims to enhance support for the decision-making process and policy formulation to be better based on data and information, and continue to provide advanced digital infrastructure relying on modern technologies, and rely on data in planning, decision-making, and policy setting.

The strategy seeks to establish and organize a national interactive statistical data center and regulate the workflow among institutions to define, document roles and responsibilities, methods of operation between them, and support institutional linkage for data exchange purposes between the General Statistics Department and institutions.
