Khaberni - Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, the Crown Prince, visited the Royal Engineering Corps Directorate on Tuesday.
Hussein listened, in the presence of the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Major General Yousef Ahmad Al-Huneiti, to a briefing by the engineering corps director about the role of the corps in supporting various units and formations of the Jordanian Armed Forces – the Arab Army.
The explanation addressed the operational duties performed by the engineering corps during the recent regional developments, and their role in dealing with the fallout and warheads resulting from them, to maintain national security and the safety of citizens.
The Crown Prince toured an exhibition of modern equipment and vehicles used by the engineering corps, and reviewed the most prominent technologies used in dealing with various challenges.
His Highness conveyed greetings from King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, to the members of the engineering corps, and praised their professionalism and efficiency, pointing to the significant role played by the Nashama of the Arab Army at various locations.
