Khaberni - The Cabinet approved in its session held on Tuesday, chaired by Prime Minister Jafar Hassan, the administrative organization system for the Jordanian Broadcasting and Television Corporation for the year 2026, in order to develop the organizational structure of the Corporation and enable it to improve its services, and keep up with the latest developments in broadcasting and television.
Under the system, the number of departments was reduced from 4 to 3 and the number of directorates from 16 to 14 as well as a reduction in the number of sections from 70 to 50 based on the new organizational structure.
A directorate for digital transformation was also added to enhance the digitization process within the institution technically, production-wise, administratively, and financially along with consolidating the news of radio, television, and platforms into one directorate and creating a training center to help the institution prepare various professional media-related cadres.
Additionally, a cybersecurity unit was added to increase protection from cyber threats and follow the implementation of the national cybersecurity framework. A new directorate for radio and television programmatic and dramatic production was established focusing on the use of artificial intelligence tools and programs. A creativity directorate was also created to devise ideas for radio, television, and electronic programs.
