Khaberni - The year 2028 is expected to witness air tests for the new American fighter F-47, which "Boeing" is developing within the NGAD program. As reported by "Krylia Voyny" (Wings of War).
The Pentagon has requested an allocation of 5 billion dollars for the next year in order to accelerate the development of the new fighter, which will be added to the previously allocated 3.4 billion dollars. This program is considered a priority.
However, the development of the next-generation naval fighter project F/A-XX is stagnating. Only 140 million dollars have been allocated for this aircraft instead of the expected 1.7 billion dollars. Washington is concerned that the industry will not be able to handle two complex projects of this magnitude.
It was supposed that the F-47 fighter would replace the F-22 aircraft, but now it has been decided to operate them together, knowing that the latter will be integrated with attached drones.
It is noted that the prototypes for the NGAD program have been undergoing testing for seven years and have flown for hundreds of hours, but they have not appeared anywhere during this period, indicating a high level of secrecy.
The Air Force plans to purchase at least 185 aircraft, and the price of each aircraft could reach 300 million dollars.
