The security forces in Cairo Security Directorate were notified about a woman falling from a high-rise building, and immediately, a security force accompanied by an ambulance moved to the scene.

Upon examination, it was found that the physiotherapist ended her life by jumping from the eighth floor, and investigations revealed that the deceased was living with her daughter and had been suffering from depression recently.

Investigations added that she had been suffering from obsessive-compulsive disorder and had been receiving psychiatric treatment for 10 years. The body was transferred to the morgue and all necessary legal measures regarding the incident were taken. A report was filed and the public prosecution took over the investigation.

Earlier, Al-Azhar warned against suicide regardless of the accumulation of worries and sorrows.

Al-Azhar's post said: "No matter how difficulties accumulate on you, and darkness crowds your paths, and you feel severe constriction, and feel that despair dominates you and consumes what remains of hope in your soul; rejoice in the relief that Allah brings to you."

Al-Azhar stated: "Beware of despair, for despair and hopelessness belittle the vastness of God Almighty’s mercy and forgiveness, and that is a great sin, and narrows the space of His generosity."
