Within the framework of the comprehensive modernization vision of the Jordanian state, His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein continues to lead the development path of the public sector, which is a fundamental pillar in building the modern state. The meeting chaired by His Majesty, attended by the Crown Prince, His Royal Highness Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, underscored that administrative modernization is not a temporary project but a continuous approach aimed at improving efficiency and the quality of services provided to citizens.
This stage of transformation is not limited to the development of procedures, but extends to redefining the relationship between the citizens and government institutions on new foundations characterized by speed, transparency, efficiency, and reliance on modern technology in managing public services.
During the meeting, His Majesty emphasized the importance of utilizing technology to enhance the public sector's operations, directly reflecting on improving services to citizens and investors, and keeping pace with the requirements of a modern, competitive, and evolving state.
His Majesty also reviewed what has been achieved within the executive program of the first phase (2022–2025), which saw an expansion in digitizing government services, alongside the opening of comprehensive government service centers in several provinces, a step that enhances ease of access to services and reduces administrative complexities.
In the context of developing human capacities, a plan was presented to launch the Jordanian Academy of Government Management, which will establish a national framework for qualifying and developing public sector cadres, enhancing a culture of professional performance and linking responsibility with achievement.
His Majesty also stressed the need to develop appointment mechanisms in the governmental apparatus, ensuring fairness and equal opportunities, and attracting talents and skills, within an environment based on transparency and linking career paths with actual performance.
His Majesty also listened to a presentation on the second phase (2026–2029), which focuses on expanding the scope of modernization to include municipalities and enhancing the use of modern technologies, contributing to improving spending efficiency and service quality at the national level.
This comprehensive approach, led by His Majesty King Abdullah II and supported and followed up by His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, reflects a clear message to society that Jordan is committed to building a modern, more efficient, and effective public sector, placing the citizen at the heart of the developmental process, and making public service a standard for achievement and trust.
