Trump We may head to Cuba after finishing with Iran

Khaberni - US President Donald Trump revealed today, Monday, that his country might head to Cuba after concluding the Iranian file.

Trump said in statements to journalists: "Many Cuban Americans have been severely mistreated, and a number of their relatives were either killed or beaten."

He added: "Cuba is a failed and collapsed state," pointing out that the Caribbean island has been "under poor management" for decades under the leadership of the late President Fidel Castro.

Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel warned Washington yesterday, Sunday, from getting involved in a military confrontation that would escalate the dispute between the two countries.

Diaz-Canel said: "If that happens, war will begin," confirming that his country does not wish to engage in war.

The United States imposes an economic embargo on Cuba and has threatened to impose tariffs on countries that supply it with oil.

Cuba had heavily relied on oil shipments from Venezuela, and these shipments were stopped after the United States launched an attack on the country in early January and arrested its president.

President Trump has threatened more than once to take tough actions against Cuba and has spoken openly about the possibility of seizing the island.

In March of last year, Cuba confirmed talks with the United States aimed at calming the atmosphere between the two sides.
