Khaberni - Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev was fined 6000 euros after he smashed his racket during his match in the second round of the Monte Carlo Championship.
The incident occurred during his match against the Italian Matteo Berrettini last week, where Medvedev harshly lost the match in straight sets (0-6, 0-6), a result that is the first of its kind in his career, as he did not win a single game throughout the match.
Medvedev is currently ranked among the world's top players, holding the tenth position, and has previously won 33 titles in the Association of Tennis Professionals tournaments.
He achieved his most notable success in 2021 when he won the US Open, in addition to leading the Russian national team to victory in the Davis Cup and the ATP Cup.
