Khaberni - Iran has demanded that Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the UAE, and Jordan pay compensations for the damages caused by "the direct participation of these countries" or "facilitating the American-Israeli attacks" against it.
In a letter addressed by Iran's Permanent Representative to the UN, Amir Saeid Iravani, to the Secretary-General of the United Nations Antonio Guterres on Monday: "On February 28, 2026, the Islamic Republic of Iran was subjected to an overt act of aggression committed jointly by the United States and the Israeli entity, in flagrant violation of international law and the United Nations Charter. Since then, the aggressors have used the territories of the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the State of Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to commit acts of aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran."
He added: "Iran provided the Security Council with documented information based on evidence, not limited to indicating the use of the aggressors' territories of the above-mentioned countries, but also shows, in some cases, direct participation by those countries in carrying out unlawful armed attacks against civilian targets inside Iran, based on monitoring and evaluation operations conducted by the Iranian armed forces."
The Iranian delegate continued: "The behavior of these countries in allowing the use of their territories against Iran constitutes a form of aggression, and consequently, these countries legally cannot rely on Article 51 of the United Nations Charter, as Iran is the victim of aggression and is exercising its inherent right to self-defense."
He continued: "Based on the foregoing, the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the State of Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan are demanded to:
Stop allowing the use of their territories by the aggressors, and in some cases the participation in carrying out unlawful armed attacks against Iran, in violation of General Assembly Resolution No. 3314 (Twenty-ninth Session) dated December 14, 1974.
Fully compensate for the damages that have befallen the Islamic Republic of Iran, including paying compensations for all material and moral losses resulting from their actions contrary to international law."
And Iravani concluded his message to Guterres by saying: "I would be grateful if you could issue your directions to circulate this letter as an official document of the Security Council."
It is noteworthy that several Gulf countries have been subjected to scattered attacks since Monday morning, with dozens injured in Bahrain and the Emirates, Kuwait, and Qatar experiencing other attacks.
And that the mentioned countries were targeted by Iranian missile and drone attacks, which Tehran states are aimed at American bases in the region.
However, these attacks have caused damage to civilian properties including airports, ports, oil facilities, and various buildings, as well as resulted in civilian casualties.
These countries have condemned the Iranian attacks on them and repeatedly demanded a halt, asserting that they are not a party to the war but are seeking to contain it and maintain a defensive stance.
