Khaberni - The national team player for the youth category in taekwondo, Abdullah Shaheen, won the bronze medal today, Monday, in the second day competitions of the world championship held in the Uzbek capital, Tashkent.
Shaheen succeeded in winning the medal in the under 48 kg category, after defeating Turkish Yunus Emre Ozden, Saudi Abdulaziz Al-Khaldi, Brazilian Leandro Martins, and Indonesian Davin Wolfian in four bouts.
Abdullah Shaheen lost in the semi-final round against Uzbek player Yosinbek Odilov.
This medal is the second achieved by our national team in the current world championship, following the bronze won yesterday by player Mohammed Ayasrah.
Meanwhile, player Islam Al-Natcha exited the under 55 kg category competition in the round of 64, losing to Turkish player Kilis.
