Khaberni - The Ministry of Public Works and Housing, in collaboration with the Traffic Management and External Patrols Division, announced the commencement of traffic organization and guidance measures in the work areas for the maintenance and expansion of the Kufranja – Wadi Al-Tawaheen Road (Phase Two) in Ajloun Governorate, spanning approximately 2.8 kilometers.
The project is part of the ministry's efforts to improve road infrastructure and enhance traffic safety, with an implementation duration of 180 days and an estimated cost of about 2.77 million dinars. The work includes expanding the existing road, scraping the road surface and re-implementing a new asphalt mix layer, as well as cutting, filling, and grading works in the expansion area. This includes rock cutting operations and the installation of rock slope protection nets, in addition to installing “gabion” barriers, ground painting works, and installing lighting along approximately 6 kilometers. It also involves completing the traffic safety elements along the project for both the first and second phases, according to the highest international standards.
The ministry explained that the work would be conducted by dividing the road into expansion work areas using plastic barriers, with work proceeding on one lane while keeping the other lane open for traffic. After completing the expansion of the first lane, traffic will be directed to it and expansion work on the other lane will begin.
The ministry assured that the work sites are equipped with all necessary traffic diversions, supported by all safety elements and required warning signs, urging road users to adhere to safe driving rules and comply with the instructions of the field staff, in addition to the guidelines of partnering bodies from the Public Security Directorate and the supervising and executing agencies.
