Dr Amani Dawood Wins Best Childrens Book Award at the Arab Childrens Book Publishers Forum

Khaberni  - The General Secretariat of the Arab Forum for Children's Book Publishers announced the winners of the Best Children's Book award in its thirteenth session, where Dr. Amani Suleiman Dawood won the prize for her story "I Always Dream of Flying," aimed at children, according to the jury's decision.

The current session witnessed wide competition, with 114 books competing, nominated by 32 publishing houses from various parts of the Arab world, reflecting the size of the cultural and literary movement in the field of Arab children's literature and the increasing interest in producing high-quality creative content.

The jury committee confirmed at the end of their session that the evaluation process was based on a set of artistic, literary, and educational standards aimed at enhancing the creative production of the member publishing houses in the forum, and improving the quality of content provided to the Arab child.

Dr. Amani Suleiman Dawood is a prominent academic and literary competency. She is a professor in the Department of Arabic Language and Literature at Petra University, a storyteller, and author, with several collections of stories for adults and children published, including: The Enchanted Book, I Love My Family, and My World Without Borders. Some of her works have been translated into English and French, alongside her distinctive contributions to the short story for adults.

Dr. Suleiman has also taught several courses in rhetoric, stylistics, creative writing, and both ancient and modern Arabic literature, in addition to her academic supervision on a number of topics in the fields of criticism and rhetoric in graduate studies.

This award represents a new addition to her literary and academic achievements, reaffirming her distinguished presence in the arena of Arab children's literature.
