Negotiation Failure and US Vice Presidents Withdrawal
الكاتب: د . راشد الشاشاني

In the final hours, the fortress of hope, which the world built delusionally, fell; as a result of the spread of news about convergences and serious points of contact between the American and Iranian negotiation teams. Soon, this hoped-for stronghold collapsed, aimlessly; with the American Vice President announcing the failure of negotiations, and while talks of continuing the negotiation process in light of losing a round remain valid.

We did not favor the idea of the rapid concessions made by both parties - as circulated by global media - as usual, press releases do not lead us to change our established perspective: that negotiations like these were based on creating an emergency exit for both conflicting teams. We particularly discuss Vance, considering that throughout the previous period he was a bastion of hopes for easing tensions between the combatants. We will enter our talk from where we previously mentioned: that Vance forms a connected link of the Trump administration's chains, a pivotal part of his leadership maneuvers; hence, he was not one of special foresight nor a thinker more measured in facts; reminding that mentioning his name in Iranian statements was a means for an Iranian response with an appropriate, similar weapon against using the name Qalibaf for the same idea of breaking the enemy's ranks and internally overturning its leadership.

The conditions of managing the previous battle led to the obligation of "these two hopes" to meet above the corners of deception intended by each party against their opponent. However, the Iranians were more skilled in managing the traps; considering the Americans' ignorance of the nature of evasion and maneuvering that the Iranians possess, and even though the United States is distinguished in this field, regardless of a very ridiculous talk about the significance of the handshake event between Vance and Qalibaf and its implication.

In the context of this tension of deception: what was known to the Iranian leadership appeared to the non-Iranians; that is, a reserve that warns that the United States is engaging the world and Iran; in order to seize any opportunity, led by changing conditions from moment to moment; to take down the Iranian regime, this warning appeared in Pakistan deploying fighters in Saudi Arabia under the mutual defense agreement of 2025; to counter expected Iranian attacks.

This deployment of fighters: was not alone a matter of inquiry about the state of neutrality that the mediator should possess. Especially in the context of a conflict that reached to the extent of being international; considering its impact, noting that: this does not mean a global war, as it is in our view only a distant idea, adding to that the continuation of supplying Israel with military equipment by the United States, even under an ongoing ceasefire.

Related to this axis: we mentioned that Trump would not allow others to carry the torch of peace; thus, he does not want negotiations, whatever their kind, to occur, and if they did; these negotiations must end with an agreement that establishes a quick opportunity to break it. This became clearly evident by the surprise state that stunned the world, when it caught its breath at the approach of the zero hour that would have annihilated "an entire civilization" according to Trump, but this world soon after let loose its breath without knowing the reason for this shift.

Trump's last statement before Vance's announcement of the negotiation failure, in which Trump repeated his declaration of victory several times with fast-paced phrases, but this time his disarray signs were more apparent. This statement was a prelude to Vance's announcement about the negotiation failure, adding to the intensification and speed of negotiation sessions which indicated—by their unnatural progress—this outcome. Vance did not leave on his own; he left by order of Trump; fearing a slide into a situation where Trump would be compelled to make a concession he did not anticipate; after the exposure of the Iranian team's resilience, and its disregard for the results of negotiation failure, in contrast to the rising cost of resuming American strikes higher than if the ceasefire had continued uninterrupted. For this reason, Trump—unsuccessfully—chose the tactic of naval blockade.

We must not forget the United States' annoyance at the Pakistan-Saudi defense agreement, in an attempt to lessen its reliance on it, in addition to the nature of the relationship of the Pakistani Chief of Staff with the United States; which did not escape the minds of Iranian officials, who have been dealing with it from the beginning until now.
