Khaberni - MP Aref Al-Saaydeh explained what occurred during the Legal Committee meeting yesterday between him and his colleague Hasan Riyati.
Al-Saaydeh said, during today’s parliament session on Monday, that Riyati requested to speak at the beginning of the session, then interrupted him saying, “Why doesn’t the press photograph me?”, indicating that he responded, as the committee chairman, that he has no right to demand the press to photograph or not photograph the MPs.
He added that Riyati’s voice grew a bit louder, before stating: “The session management is weak”, pointing out that this is normal in such sessions, and the matter was resolved.
Al-Saaydeh expressed his disappointment with the media that edited the video clip and published parts of it.
On his part, MP Saleh Al-Armouti responded to Al-Saaydeh, affirming that Riyati was demanding that the parliament's media be available to all MPs.
