Khaberni - In the context of Amman Arab University’s focus on boosting the practical and knowledge side for its students, and enhancing their professional competence alongside market demands, the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University organized a distinctive interactive workshop for its students from various academic levels titled: "Professional Frameworks in the Pharmacy Sector (Business Aspect in Pharmacy)”, presented by Professor Anas Shaweeki, a faculty member, with the attendance of numerous students from the college.
This workshop was a response to accelerating labor market needs, addressing leading career paths available to pharmacy graduates in both public and private sectors, highlighting promising opportunities in pharmaceutical industries, pharmacovigilance, pharmaceutical marketing, and clinical practice. It focused on a set of essential skills valued by employers such as effective communication, analytical thinking, teamwork, and decision-making in different workplace environments, thereby enhancing students’ readiness and qualifying them to compete effectively and professionally in the labor market.
The workshop saw remarkable interaction from students, providing a platform for them to exchange experiences and real-life engagements in the labor market. This enhanced the concept of participatory learning, offered opportunities to discuss major practical challenges and ways to address them, additionally, it featured steps that contribute to building a successful professional career and covered key laws and legislations regulating the labor market, including the Labor Law and General Organization for Social Security systems, explaining the rights and duties of employees and employers, particularly in the pharmaceutical sector, thus enhancing students’ legal and professional awareness.
The workshop concluded with motivational messages aimed at boosting the morale of students nearing their graduation requirements and enhancing their readiness to engage in the labor market, thus supporting the quality outcomes of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Amman Arab University, and enhancing the competitiveness and academic reputation of its graduates at both local and regional levels.
